It seems that the wait is coming to a close, Windows 7 has been confirmed by Microsoft as set to release on Oct 22nd. Windows 7 has so far been a much awaited version of Windows, and claims to be a faster and better version of Windows Vista, which seems to have been a failure overall.
If you do not want to wait for the official release, or just want to try it out first, the release canadite is availible right now for free from Microsofts official site, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx
Now its time to just sit back and see how it goes
Windows 7 Beta was set to be released to the general public as of Jan, 9, however it was pulled shortly after being posted due the the popular demand of it. Here is the quote from the official windows team blog
Due to very heavy traffic we’re seeing as a result of interest in the Windows 7 Beta, we are adding some additional infrastructure support to the Microsoft.com properties before we post the public beta. We want to ensure customers have the best possible experience when downloading the beta, and I’ll be posting here again soon once the beta goes live. Stay tuned! We are excited that you are excited!
Basically, this means that we all have to wait until microsoft gets a few more servers in. Unfortunetly, it seems that microsoft wasn’t thinking on this one, as they could have saved themselves a lot of time and trouble by just using a torrent for this, instead of having to go out and buy more servers. I guess this is due to the fact that since they only wanted to distribute 2,500,000 copies that they didn’t do this, however it would have been the more logical decision in this case. Guess we all just have to wait until they get their acts together before we get to see the new windows. Please feel free to comment.
